How to Use

Directions for Reseeding:

  • Prep your lawn by mowing it low and bagging up the cuttings to help the seed reach the soil.
  • For best results, use the instead™ Go Getter™ Spreader to apply the seed to your lawn. When using the instead™ Go Getter™ Spreader, adjust the spreader setting to 6.
  • Lightly rake the grass seed so that it rests just beneath the top layer of soil.
  • Water your lawn, making sure to keep the soil surface moist until the seed grows at least 2 inches tall. This means watering it at least once a day, or more often if the weather is hot, dry, or windy.

Directions for a New Lawn:

  • Prep the soil by loosening the top layer of soil and removing anything that will get in the way of your seed touching the soil.
  • For the best results, use the instead™ Go Getter™ Spreader to apply the seed. When using the instead™ Go Getter™ Spreader, adjust the spreader setting to 12.
  • Lightly rake the seed into the soil.
  • Water your soon-to-be new lawn enough to keep the soil surface moist until the seed grows at least 2 inches tall. This means watering it at least once a day, or more often if the weather is hot, dry, or windy.
