Just One Plant: Coffee Meets Mint

Add herbal freshness to your coffee—hot or cold!

Adding homemade honey simple syrup to your morning cup of coffee is an inventive and delicious way of using mint in the morning. These recipes can be scaled up to be stored in the refrigerator or a travel mug if you are looking to share. Shaking your cold brew drink creates a frothy texture, which makes it just a little more special.


The Ingredients


6 oz. of coffee or cold brew

1 oz. milk (plant-based works great)

1 oz. vodka (optional)

0.5 oz. mint simple syrup

6 to 8 fresh mint leaves

The Process

Cold Brew

Add all ingredients into a shaker tin full of ice.

Shake until well chilled.

Strain over new ice, into your favorite mug.

Place 3 to 4 mint leaves in the palm of your hand, gently smack, and place them on top of your glass as a garnish.


Hot Coffee

Add all ingredients except for mint leaves to a hot beverage mug.

Gently stir to combine.

Place 3 to 4 mint leaves in the palm of your hand, gently smack, and place on top of your mug as a garnish.
