Why We love Them
Citronella can be used as a summer border or one of several contrasting textures in a garden composition or a large mixed container. Citronella can be used in jellies, teas, fruit salads, and desserts. One traditional use is to place the leaves in a cake pan before pouring the batter. Once baked, the cake will carry a citrus flavor throughout.
Story
A member of the geranium family, citronella carries a lemony scent in its foliage. When crushed and rubbed against the skin, the oil from its leaves creates a refreshing aroma that smells lovely to us, but may naturally repel mosquitoes.
